Wasting your energy

Anxiety is a person's desperate worry about things that he ultimately cannot control. Therefore, anxiety is foolishness and a waste of energy.

Your anxiety will never make tomorrow's problems weaker; but it will empty you of strength today.

A solution, albeit clichéd: Cross that bridge when you come to it.

Know that the bridge is there, be ready for it, but while you're still a long way, focus only on your next step. Eventually that bridge will be your next step. Then, and only then, you deal with it.
