Why Thank God?

I thank God for my salvation. If it were not for that, I would have no reason to live.
I thank God for sacrifices. Because of them, I know the level of my faith in God.
I thank God for battles. They distinguish the cowards from the brave.
I thank God for thorns in the flesh. If it were not for them, I would be complacent in my faith.
I thank God for those who hate me. If it were not for them, I would not search for the strength to fight.

I thank God for difficulties. In their absence, how would I exercise my faith?
I thank God for traitors. Without them, how would I recognise the loyal?
I thank God for daily problems. If it were not for them, how could I live a life of dependence on God?

I thank God for injustice. If it was not for it, how would we know the Just Judge?
I thank God for misunderstandings. If it were not for them, how would I understand the human mind?

I thank God for pain. In its absence, how would I detect physical problems?
I thank God for weaknesses. They increase my strength. Prison taught me to make lemonade out of lemons
.
I thank God when I’m sad because the Holy Spirit makes me happy.
I thank God when I cry because the Holy Spirit comforts me.
I thank God for death because it frees the soul to take hold of eternal life.
I thank God for trials because they make me grow in faith.
I thank God for the aggravation of injustice because it does not allow my sense of revolt to slumber.

I thank God for solitude because I’m able to spend more time with my Lord and God.
I thank God for my wife because she helps me in my shortcomings.
I thank God for my children because I can understand my Eternal Father.
I thank God for children of faith because they will faithfully continue the Kingdom of God.
I thank God for the work of salvation because I feel useful as a servant of the God of Abraham.
I thank God for the stones in my path because they give me experiences in my faith.
I thank God for having hit rock bottom. If it was not for that, I would not have found my Lord and Saviour.

I thank God for the called and chosen because they are making a difference.
Finally, I give thanks to God in everything because all things work together for good to those who love the Lord Jesus, Romans 8:28.
